Keyd Stars got off on the right foot at the ESL ESEA Pro League Finals after seeing off Team SoloMid 16-12 on de_inferno.
Following two upsets inflicted by North American sides, Team SoloMid entered the match against Keyd Stars willing to kill the momentum from the teams coming from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.Starting off on the highly-favored CT side, TSM came out the brighter and won the pistol round, but they were caught off-guard by the Brazilians in the following round.Following two upsets inflicted by North American sides, Team SoloMid entered the match against Keyd Stars willing to kill the momentum from the teams coming from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.
Starting off on the highly-favored CT side, TSM came out the brighter and won the pistol round, but they were caught off-guard by the Brazilians in the following round. Keyd Stars then embarked on an incredible run as they brought the scoreline to 6-1 in their favour, but some great defensive work from the Danes during the final stages of the half saw them close the gap to one round.
TSM could not win the match despite claiming both pistol rounds
In the second half, it was TSM who were the stronger in the pistol round, but in gun play Keyd Stars were far too hot to handle, which allowed them to take a 16-12 victory despite making some mistakes that tend to be costly at a top level. Luckily for them, TSM were unable to make the most of those errors, and now the Danes will have to fight for survival in their group's Lower Bracket.
